The Czech Battery Cluster, z.s. (hereinafter referred to as „ČBK“) participated as a co-organizer in the seminar „Battery Value Chain as an Opportunity“, which took place in Pilsen on Wednesday 25th October 2023 in cooperation with CzechInvest, BIC Plzeň and Vědeckotechnický park Plzeň.
The main part of the programme consisted of presentations by the members of the CBK. The opening presentation focused on the complete battery value chain and was given by the Chairman Tomáš Kazda (Brno University of Technology). He was followed by Hong Vu (VŠCHT Praha) with the topic of mining of basic materials. Practical applications of batteries were presented by Jiří Vrána (Pinflow Enegy Strage) and Martin Tomáš (ŠKODA ELECTRIC). The issue of battery recycling was presented by Viliam Blumtritt (Kovohutě Příbram nástupnická).
The majority of the 60 participants took part in the programme with an excursion to Pinflow Energy Storage, a company involved in the research, development and production of redox flow batteries.
At the end of the seminar, a moderated discussion was held, which focused on the economics and ecology of electromobility as the future of individual transport.
