CBC participated at the MINEX Europe 2024 Mining Fair and Conference in Prague

We would like to thank Mrs. Barbora Velickova, the Executive Director at the Czech Extraction & Mining Technology Association (CDT) for inviting the Czech Battery Cluster (CBC) to introduce the audience the state and opportunities of the battery value chain in the Czech Republic. „It was a pleasure for me to describe and later on discuss the local situation both with the panellists and with the guests. It´s good seeing that sustainability in the mining industry has the same importance as it is in other battery bound areas. I was also pleased to see that among the growing nimbysm here in Czechia there are good examples of communication between the industry and the public sector, taking for example the mission of the Mangan Chvaletice project of extracting manganese from the current waste deposits.” sums up the CBC Executive Manager Mr. Jan Vejbor. “

The main theme of this year’s MINEX Europe conference was the restart of exploration and extraction of mineral resources, and building a stable supply chain of critical raw materials and metals in Europe following the current challenges of sustainability and transformation in the processing and manufacturing industry.

„The connection between the Czech Battery Cluster and the Czech Extraction & Mining Technology Association is completely natural and logical. The Czech Battery Cluster is an inherent part of the MINEX Europe conference discussions and I am very happy that the Executive Manager of CBC, Mr. Jan Vejbor, accepted our invitation. I see CBC and CDT companies as part of this chain, starting with the exploration, extraction and processing of mineral raw materials to the use of critical raw materials in the production of batteries and other industries. Allow me to thank to Mr. Jan Vejbor we could together outline the current situation in the Czech Republic and present the capabilities and know-how of Czech companies.“ added Mrs. Barbora Velickova, CDT Executive Director.
